Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Network & IT Security (Banking Infrastructure) to manage and maintain the bank's network and server infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and operational reliability.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in enterprise network and server infrastructure management, with exposure to banking environments, security requirements, disaster recovery activities, and infrastructure support operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the bank's network and server infrastructure to meet operational, security, availability, and performance requirements.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network environments, including:
- IPSec
- VPN solutions
- Internet connectivity links
- Network switches and routers
- Load balancers
- NAS infrastructure
- Active Directory environments
- Perform firmware upgrades and configuration changes for network devices while ensuring minimal operational impact.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and network-related issues and provide effective solutions within agreed timelines.
- Work closely with technology vendors for:
- Issue resolution
- Hardware and software upgrades
- Infrastructure improvements
- Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) activities
- Maintain and support high availability and redundancy infrastructure setups within the banking environment.
- Provide end-user technical support and resolve infrastructure-related incidents when required.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to infrastructure configurations, processes, and solutions.
- Support audit, security, and performance assessments and ensure identified findings are resolved within agreed timelines based on criticality.
- Participate in DR/BCP drills and support related infrastructure activities.
- Provide technical support beyond normal working hours when required for critical operational matters.
- Be available to respond to urgent or critical infrastructure issues on a 24x7 basis when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field from a UGC-recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing and maintaining enterprise network and server infrastructure, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Network infrastructure management
- Server administration
- IP networking
- VPN and IPSec technologies
- Switches and routers
- Active Directory
- NAS solutions
- Load balancing technologies
- Experience in infrastructure troubleshooting, system upgrades, and vendor coordination.
- Understanding of security, availability, and performance requirements in enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle critical production issues.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications related to network and infrastructure administration are an advantage, such as:
- Cisco certifications
- Microsoft certifications
- Security or infrastructure-related certifications
- Experience working in a banking or highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of enterprise security practices, high availability architectures, and disaster recovery processes.
