About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate Lead – QE (Automation Testing) to join our Quality Engineering team. This role involves leading test efforts, designing robust automated and manual test strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality web, mobile, and API-based applications. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and offshore clients, contributing to a scalable and efficient quality engineering process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze application artifacts including business requirements, user stories, and technical documents.

  • Conduct comprehensive web and mobile application testing to validate functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Test and validate API interfaces using tools like Postman and SoapUI.

  • Design and maintain test cases, ensuring full traceability to requirements and test coverage.

  • Identify and prepare test data for execution, and ensure its completeness and coverage.

  • Execute functional and regression tests, report results, and track defects through the execution lifecycle.

  • Analyze bugs to improve coverage, especially in high-risk or critical areas.

  • Lead and contribute to test automation efforts, ensuring frameworks are scalable and maintainable.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in automation and manual testing.

  • Strong proficiency in Java and ability to write clean, reusable test scripts.

  • Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, TestNG, Appium, and Postman.

  • Hands-on experience transforming manual test cases into automated ones.

  • Strong SQL skills and ability to perform database validations.

  • Experience with test management tools like JIRA, Xray, TestLink.

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with a proven track record in iterative development.

  • Knowledge of API automation and tools such as Testsigma and LambdaTest is a plus.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.

  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Understanding of clean code principles and test design best practices.
