Business Application Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Business Application Specialist to lead and support our IT operations. This role involves guiding the support team, managing user complaints, coordinating with users and support teams, and analyzing system requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in system administration and support of business applications, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:

Support Team Leadership: Guide and direct the support team to troubleshoot and resolve daily IT operational issues, ensuring smooth organizational functions and minimal disruption.

Monitor and Manage User Complaints: Oversee the helpdesk to ensure user complaints are addressed promptly. Allocate resources effectively to achieve timely resolutions and maintain high user satisfaction.

Coordinate with Users and Support Teams: Collaborate with end users and the Level 2 (L2) support team to provide necessary solutions and implement effective business processes.

Maintain Documentation: Document all transactions, error checks, and business solutions in coordination with the L2 support team, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date records.

Analyze System Requirements: Research, consult, analyze, and evaluate system requirements to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business needs.

Identify System Limitations: Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and related processes, proposing improvements as necessary.

Create and Update Documentation: Write, update, and maintain technical programs, user training materials, and operational procedures to support system and process understanding.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as assigned by management, aligned with the current role.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Diploma in Computer Science is also acceptable.
Professional Experience:
- Experience in system administration, configuration, and support of business applications, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies, including ERP systems.
- Proficiency in data management, integration techniques, and SQL database querying.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cybersecurity and data privacy, especially in manufacturing environments.
