HR Business Partner -Talent Engagement

Role Purpose and Summary
Oversee and execute overall HR functions of the company, ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations, and ensure that the necessary headcount is in place to support the business requirements Be the contact point for all routine HR services
Key Accountabilities
- Align business objectives with people strategy of the company and contribute towards the HR strategy formulation and execution
- Assess and anticipate human resources-related needs
- Maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business under HR preview
- Monitor and guide the HR team towards a smooth operation in routine work schedule
- Ensure timely recruitment, interviews, and placements
- Handle employee life cycle activities
- Handle all employee relation activities; drive industrial relations, compliance, and non-discipline related matters Support Front-Line Managers to be better people managers
- Ensure effective HR Systems (local and group)
- Ensure compliance to HR policies is maintained; review and strengthen business internal controls and procedures
- Provide input on workforce succession planning, retention strategies for key talent and positions
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Act as a trusted Business partner and coach and support Front-Line Managers across the business units
- Ensure compliance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement and liaise with Union on business as usual matters
- Analyse HR data and provide HR information periodically and as and when required
Required Skill Set and Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resource Management from a recognized University, a postgraduate qualification or MBA
- HR professional background of over 5 years, minimum 4 years of experience as a HR Generalist including HR labour relations; hands-on experience in Business Partnering in a manufacturing environment Experience working in a unionized environment will be a distinct advantage
- Exceptional communication skills (spoken and written) in English language is a must
- Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Office, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines; ability to multitask effectively
- Accountability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level and be assertive yet professional in dealing with requests, and take ownership of problems and their resolution, seeking assistance where necessary
