Head of Credit

Job Description:
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Head of Credit to lead the credit and recovery functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping credit policies, ensuring sound underwriting, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio while effectively managing risks and recoveries.
Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement comprehensive credit policies, underwriting criteria, and approval processes aligned with organizational goals and regulatory standards.

Oversee the credit appraisal and sanctioning processes across various loan products.

Monitor portfolio quality, credit risk exposure, and track early warning indicators to proactively address emerging issues.

Design and execute effective recovery strategies for overdue, delinquent, and non-performing loans (NPLs).

Establish and lead dedicated recovery teams to ensure swift and effective resolution of problem accounts and maintain business continuity.

Collaborate with legal, operations, and compliance teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of recovery and enforcement processes.

Provide strategic insights and reports to senior leadership for credit risk management and performance tracking.
Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Credit Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Credit and Recovery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the finance or banking sector.

Proven track record in managing large credit portfolios and collections teams, with strong strategic and analytical skills.

Strong understanding of credit risk, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.
