Manager – Legal, HR & Strategic Operations

Job Description
Position Overview
The Manager – Legal, HR & Strategic Operations is a high-impact role serving as a trusted operational and legal support partner to the Founder. This position combines executive coordination, legal fluency, and strategic operational support to ensure precision, speed, and control across deal-making, governance, and executive priorities.
This is not a traditional administrative role. The successful candidate will operate as a behind-the-scenes business operator—supporting negotiations, managing sensitive documentation, coordinating with legal counsel and financial partners, and ensuring the Founder’s time, focus, and strategic execution are fully optimized.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Operations & Deal Support
-
Manage and optimize the Founder’s schedule, priorities, and workflow across multiple ventures.
-
Prepare, organize, and summarize key documents including contracts, NDAs, term sheets, equity structures, and funding materials.
-
Draft and refine professional emails, executive memos, legal summaries, and internal briefing notes.
-
Prepare meeting materials, action summaries, and follow-up trackers for strategic discussions and negotiations.
2. Legal & Compliance Coordination
-
Conduct preliminary reviews of standard agreements (NDAs, Independent Contractor Agreements, Statements of Work, etc.) prior to external legal review.
-
Maintain strict version control and secure storage of executed agreements and sensitive legal documents.
-
Support corporate governance activities, regulatory compliance tracking, and intellectual property documentation.
-
Coordinate with external legal counsel and ensure timely follow-up on legal matters.
3. Project & Document Management
-
Track deliverables, approvals, and key milestones across legal, funding, and strategic initiatives.
-
Create structured document checklists, due diligence folders, and investor-ready information packages.
-
Act as the primary coordination point between internal teams and external legal, financial, and strategic advisors.
-
Maintain organized digital filing systems and document repositories.
4. Executive Operations
-
Coordinate high-level meetings with attorneys, banks, investors, venture partners, and key stakeholders.
-
Develop and maintain SOPs, templates, and standardized communication formats.
-
Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, missing information, and critical deadlines.
-
Ensure disciplined follow-up and accountability across all legal and deal-related activities.
5. Human Resources
-
Support end-to-end recruitment coordination including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and communication.
-
Maintain employee records, contracts, NDAs, and personnel documentation with strict confidentiality.
-
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, access, and compliance checklists.
-
Assist in preparing employment agreements, contractor agreements, and job descriptions in coordination with legal and HR advisors.
-
Track probation reviews, performance check-ins, contract renewals, and key employee milestones.
-
Support the implementation and documentation of HR policies and SOPs.
-
Coordinate remote workforce administration including leave tracking, engagement, and internal communication.
-
Identify and escalate people-related risks, team issues, or organizational gaps.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Law degree, legal studies background, or paralegal certification strongly preferred.
-
HR degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Founders/CEOs, legal teams, and HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
-
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, contracts, and basic deal structures.
-

-
Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
-
