Manager - Operations (Dyeing)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, develop, and motivate team members at all levels to achieve and continuously improve organisational performance while promoting and enhancing relationships between colleagues and the company.
  • Ensure all business teams adhere to set policies, procedures, and criteria to comply with legal and customer standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers (internal and external) and suppliers by providing efficient service to facilitate business performance.
  • Develop and implement divisional projects at the business unit, overseeing organisational/departmental restructuring processes to continuously improve standards and performance levels.
  • Understand key trends and developments in the industry, encourage innovation, and acquire suitable cutting-edge technology to retain competitive advantage in a changing business environment.
  • Oversee internal company processes, policies, and department operations, taking necessary action to protect customers' intellectual property rights and brand identity.
  • Design, develop, and implement strategies and policies to drive a 'customer-centric' focus.
  • Oversee and check the annual budget and business plan preparation process to monitor budgets and achieve budgeted earnings.
  • Effectively work with customer-based value streams within Stretchline, consisting of all relevant teams, committing to achieving common KPIs for the whole value stream.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in engineering, sciences, or related fields – a postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • 12 years of relevant industrial experience, with at least 6 years in a managerial capacity in a textile/apparel manufacturing environment including experience and exposure in Dyeing Technology.

  • High degree of business and analytical acumen.
  • Team player.
