Software Engineer – .NET (Banking Applications)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer – .NET (Banking Applications) to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies and will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting mission-critical banking applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality banking applications using Microsoft .NET C# (Version 4.8 or above).
- Develop and maintain web-based applications, Windows applications, and web services.
- Write, optimize, and maintain database objects including stored procedures, functions, packages, and scripts.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions for production incidents and system defects.
- Provide technical support to end users and resolve application-related issues when required.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
- Support audit, security, and performance assessments, and promptly resolve identified findings based on priority.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities and testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions.
- Be available to work beyond regular business hours when required to support critical production issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline from a UGC-recognized university.
- Minimum 2 years of enterprise software application development experience using Microsoft C# .NET.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL/EDB databases.
- Hands-on experience in database programming, including developing stored procedures, functions, packages, and other database objects.
- Experience developing C# Web Applications (primary), Windows Applications, and Web Services.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft .NET certifications.
- Database programming certifications.
- Experience working within the banking or financial services industry will be an added advantage.
